Description
Overglow reimagines the 16th-century caged glass ‘lampioni’ crafted on the islands of Murano, which were carried to illuminate the path along Venice's canals after nightfall. The Overglow Pendant OGP.01.03 is an expression of more or less balance between structure and suppleness, sensuality and restraint, evoking the human body and breath without picturing them.
This made-to-order illuminated sculpture is distilled into sandcast bronze frames with silhouettes that range from traditional to full-bodied and fleshy. Offered in patina brass, aged nickel, and blackened bronze, the frames set off a subdued palette of opaque colors that feels jewel-like and atmospheric.
