This is Reinaldo Sanguino's first solo exhibition in Paris. Born in Caracas, now based in New York, the artist combines modern influences and traditional craftsmanship in expressive, powerfully embodied works. His practice bears witness to an intimate bond with ceramics, a material he has explored since childhood.

Initially trained as a painter, Sanguino discovered terracotta at the Caracas School of Fine Arts - a decisive revelation that turned his artistic approach on its head. Fascinated by the three-dimensionality, textures and unpredictability of the material, he made it his principal medium, developing a singular formal language nourished by plastic experimentation and strong collaborations.

Through his vases, stools and sculptures, Reinaldo Sanguino asserts an intuitive, almost visceral approach to materials. Far from any formal rigidity, his creative process remains free and organic.

The exhibition brings together fourteen works. Whether wall-mounted or functional, these ceramics are fully alive in the domestic space: objects of use or contemplation, they transcend the boundaries between art and design.

Each creation, both utilitarian and sculptural, asserts a strong presence, imbued with playfulness, vitality and a resolutely contemporary language
