EXTRA-LARGE CHANDELIERS

07/13/2021

Triode, well known for its showroom in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, showcases creations from the most renowned contemporary American designers, including a wide range of lighting fixtures, particularly extra large chandeliers. Airy, oversized and sometimes infinitely expandable, these exceptional pieces dress up any space and can totally transform an interior. We share our selection of new works and emblematic pieces.

1. Escalante by Allied Maker is inspired by the American South-West landscape and features cascading forms.
2. Sketch by Anna Karlin is as the name suggests, a sketch brought to life.
3. Apparatus Twig presents articulating elbows and brass shades creating a sophisticated armature that emits soft pools of light. 4. The Tempo series by Atelier de Troupe is composed of curves and lines joined by shaped connectors, creating rhythm and repetition.
5. The Sarus Mobile by David Weeks is a carefully balanced fixture, featuring a combination of large and small Sarus shades on a plated steel frame.
6. The new LUNA Kaleido 1Tier by Gabriel Scott plays with texture, color and shape to distort light and create magical optical illusions when looking through the glass.
7. Radiand Mobile Chandelier by John Pomp presents hand-poured, rippled glass crystal puddles suspended on custom-machined hardware and rigid, linear structure, illuminated by integrated, refracting light.
8. The Thin Multiples Triad by Juniper arranges three light segments in a linear trio for brighter illumination while maintaining a slender profile.
9. Lindsey Adelman's Clamp chandelier features hand-blown glass globes and uses heavy sculptural clamps of various sizes and a variety of chains.
10. Equalizer Linear 4 by Ladies and Gentlemen Studio was conceived as an exercise in the defining architectural spaces. Taking inspiration from a room divider, the collection’s vertical framework undulates through an environment delineating areas through positive and negative space.
11. Composed of a constellation of delicate glass globes adorned with bursts of color, Pelle’s Long 80 Strokes Bubble Chandelier is inspired by the process of painting and the essential nature of the brushstroke.
12. Moonrise Chandelier 02 by Lara Bohinc for Roll & Hill is inspired by the lunar phases, with round and half round shapes composed in playful compositions that shift from every angle like the Moon’s changing shapes throughout its cycle.
13. Rosie Li’s Ginkgo Blossom 13-light Chandelier features hand-hewn elements paired with machined parts to form lighting works that embody organic growth, levity and movement.
14. Blossom explores branching forms and hammered brass leaves, layered around oblong milk glass buds. Cerine by Trueing is an epic series of lightings suspended from oversized links made of borosilicate glass featuring both clear chains and colored ones.
